2/4 The International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem was observed by the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum in collaboration with Mother Earth Foundation. A tree plantation drive was conducted along with students from Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar and G.D.Birla Centre for Education. Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM) in Kolkata, the first science museum in the country under the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, is engaged in popularising and promoting science especially among the youth through various interactive models, exhibitions, educational programmes and activities throughout the year
