Ranchi, March 30: Applications are being invited for admission to the primary school at the birthplace of Birsa Munda, the state?s tribal hero.
The school will start functioning from April-end.
The school, which is to be called Birsa Munda DAV Residential Public School, will be run by DAV College Management Committee, New Delhi.
It will have Classes I to V. The school will be able to take 150 students, with 30 students in each class.
The school is meant for permanent tribal residents in Jharkhand. Children have to be five years old at the time of enrolment.
Admission is through a competitive examination. Entry forms are available at schools of DAV College Management Committee functional in Ranchi Zone.
The last date to fill up forms for the entrance exam is April 7.
A written exam will be held on April 9 at DAV, Khunti.
Successful students will be interviewed on April 16 at the same venue.
Education will be free at the school as the government will bear all expenses.
