Nagpuri Sangam boost to artistes

Ranchi, July 10: Voluntary organisation Nagpuri Kala Sangam is all set to extend its activities in the state.

Keeping this in mind, the new cabinet of the organisation held a meeting to take decisions over the semi-annual programme that will be organised from August 14.

On that occasion, local musicians, poets, dancers, singers from all over the state would assemble to give a performance.

Ishwar Chandra Jaiswal, vice-president of Nagpuri Kala Sangam, said: “This is just a way to encourage local artistes of the state. We want to infuse a new spirit into our culture by such programmes. We are solely devoted to the protection and development of folk music, dance, arts, craft and culture as well as making people self-dependent.”

Remarkably, this organisation has more than 50,000 members spread all over the state. It is dedicated to economical, social and cultural development of the people of the state. Often this organisation organises various training and awareness programmes in different districts of Jharkhand. Moreover, this organisation is actively engaged in areas like motivation and awareness programme, providing primary education, giving training in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and many more.
