Raipur, Oct. 26: Air Deccan today announced the introduction of daily flights from the city to Mumbai. The airline had yesterday said it would launch a service connecting Raipur with Bhubaneswar and Delhi from November 20.
The Mumbai-Raipur service will be operational from November 2.
“Raipur is emerging as a major centre of agro-commercial business and trade. The city has more than 300 industries and sees heavy passenger traffic. It will benefit from the affordable connectivity provided by Air Deccan,” Samyukth Sridharan, principal marketing and sales officer of Air Deccan, told reporters here today.
He said the new flights would provide much-needed connectivity to scores of people travelling for work .
Deccan’s presence has so far been limited to the Calcutta-Ranchi-Raipur flight. The airline will use Airbus A320s on the new routes.
