May 19: Scoring first division marks in the ICSE and ISC examinations, results of which were declared today, seems to be easier this year.
Rumours doing the rounds about the date and time of declaration of results were thus put to rest. This year, the results were better compared to that of last year.
The management of different school attributed the good results to students scoring cent per cent marks in environmental education, computer application and English.
From St Thomas School, Mayank Raj scored 97.29 per cent, while second rank holder Saurabh Kumar clinched 96.43 per cent. “All 95 students, who took the examination, bagged first division marks,” said school principal Alexander Thomas.
School authorities had been expecting the results to be out on Friday afternoon after seeing speculative information on some websites. The official websites did not mention any such thing, but when contacted, an official from the council headquarters in New Delhi said the results were expected sometime next week.
“Some websites even announced that the results would be declared after 4 pm today. I have been sitting in the cyber café for hours, but there is no information,” complained Shruti Mishra, an ICSE examinee. Ritesh Shah, another examinee, said: “Every year, the results are out by now, but this time, surprisingly, there is no information yet even on the council’s official websites.
Moreover, other websites are creating more trouble by giving speculative information about the date and time of declaration.”
To prevent from being misled, school authorities, however, suggested that students and parents keep checking the official websites, www.cisce.indiaresults.com, www.cisce.ilssets.com and www.cisce.examresults.net.
