Jamshedpur: The steel city just got a new entertainment zone for kids.
Odyssey Wonders, a Jamshedpur-based start-up, has come up with a special kids' zone at The Wave International on NH-33.
The kids' zone, which opened on September 1, comprise activities designed for children between 4 and 12 years. It includes toy train, cricket bowling machine, happy cars, Ferris Wheel and bungee trampoline, all of which can be enjoyed at a price range of Rs 50-200.
Odyssey Wonders, which deals with adventure games in the city and has been operating from The Wave International for two years, already offers paintball, rifle shooting, go-karting, zorbing and self balancing scooters.
"While youngsters liked adventure games, children always missed out on the fun. We have seen kids throwing a fit and crying while their fathers played these games. So we came up with this concept," Sahadab Akhter, one of the directors of Odyssey Wonders, said.
Ever since the new zone was inaugurated, children have got hooked to it. "In the past two days, we have had about 50 children enjoying the games," Akhter added.
Parents and kids loved the concept. "We didn't have anything recreational around here and children were the main sufferers. Thankfully, we have a mall now and something like this that can keep the kids entertained," said Ayush Sharma, a Tata Motors employee who enjoyed these rides with his four-year-old son, on Sunday.
