Jamshedpur, June 18: For the first time in the history of Bhojpuri film industry, a multi-starrer movie is being produced at an estimated budget of Rs 1.5 crore.

The movie, being jointly produced by a Mumbai production house and city-based Sanskar Films Private Limited, would touch new height as an average Bhojpuri film is made out of Rs 60-lakh budget.

Wondering who would play the lead? Hold your breath, as both Manoj Tiwary and Ravi Kishen, considered superstars of Bhojpuri films, would be part of this venture, while small screen actresses would play the female roles in the yet-to-be-titled film.

“Never before has an attempt of this sort been made by production houses of the city or the state,” said Sanskar Films Private Limited director Mohammad Nizam.

Joining hands with Sanskar Films is Mamta Productions of Mumbai. Owned by Sunil Singh, Mamta Productions also made a Bhojpuri movie.

Nizam is a National School of Drama pass-out and has a lot of stage productions to his credit.

“It is a romantic film and we have made elaborate plans for it,” said Nizam, adding the film’s post-production would be done in Mumbai.

Though talks between the two production houses are still in a nascent stage, the shooting locations have almost been finalised. Part of the film will be shot on the outskirts of the city and the remaining part in Mumbai.

Some established names in the music industry, either from Jamshedpur orMumbai, would compose the score.

The first film made under the banner of Sanskar Films, Ae Sipahi Saiya, is eyeing an August release.

The full-length Bhojpuri feature film boasts of an all-Jamshedpur cast.
