Ranchi, Aug. 23: It was a fashion show with a difference for both the audience and the models who walked the ramp.

Taking a break from their daily chores, 15-odd army wives put on their trendy designer dresses and bowled everyone over with their elegant walk down the ramp during a fashion show, organised on the foundation day of the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA).

The show was one of many events that marked the beginning of the AWWA week, here today. It was not only the army ladies, but children who accompanied their mothers on the ramp, much to the delight of the audiences.

Earlier, in the day, the AWWA had also organised a blood donation camp at the Dipatoli Cantonment to mark the beginning of the AWWA week.

Altogether 100 units of blood were collected which was later handed over to the Red Cross Society. The week is being celebrated simultaneously all over India.
