Mumbai, Oct. 14: Two men who worked for actress Dimple Kapadia were arrested on charges of cheating the actress and her sister, former actress Simple Kapadia.

Liyakat Ismail Parkar and Irfan looked after the daily affairs and financial matters of the Kapadia sisters, said Juhu police, who arrested them.

The two, who worked for the sisters for several years, have been accused of stealing Rs 4 lakh from their bank accounts with forged signatures on cheques.

The brothers handled transactions from the Kapadias’ accounts for several affairs. The sisters realised recently from statements from their bank, HSBC, that money was being withdrawn unaccountably from their accounts.

Liyakat and Irfan have been remanded in police custody till October 20.
