Ankush Hazra is set to explore Kolkata’s dingy underworld in his upcoming film, Mirza, the trailer of which recently premiered on YouTube. The film pits Ankush’s titular character against Kaushik Ganguly’s Sultan in a battle for the city’s control that establishes David vs Goliath-like stakes. Oindrila Sen stars as Ankush’s badass love interest, who flirts and punches with equal conviction. The clip is full of stylised action set pieces and applause-worthy dialogues, promising a masala entertainer for the entire family. Kolkata plays a perfect setting to the rugged ambience, with shots of high octane chases and warehouse fights, juxtaposed with romance at the Ghats. Catch this one on the big screen, this Eid!
