A crossroads is always fraught with too many choices and one has to weigh the pros and cons carefully. The fact that this crossroads has beverages like Kulfi Shake, appetisers that include a Thai Spice Crispy Fish and a range of burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, burritos and pastas makes the choice a little easier.
“Restaurant food at cafe rates,” says co-proprietor Adarsh Kajaria, pithily. Which explains the menu, at this two-week-old cafe, which is replete with not just coffee and sandwiches but all sorts of mocktails and whole meals too. There’s something for any time of the day, any mood of the hour, including free Wi-Fi and parking across the road.
t2 stopped weighing the pros, cons (and themselves) and stepped in!

Grilled Fish: You’ve seen this classic served with mashed potatoes or lemon butter sauce. But Crossroad Cafe serves it in a phyllo pastry basket with caper lime sauce, fresh herbs and paprika. It’s creamy and tender, and with the phyllo basket, there’s more to eat!
Rs 250. #TwistInTheTale

Classico Burrito: This tortilla wrap is stuffed with refried beans, cilantro rice, pickled jalapeno, lettuce and cheese. It’s a well-balanced meal, and it comes with salsa and sour cream. Vegetarians will dig this one (Rs 170). Non-veggies, take heart, there’s a chicken option too!

Grilled Cottage Cheese Bruschetta: Between the tender cottage cheese and the crispy bruschetta is a dollop of tomato, onion and bell pepper salsa. Don’t separate the layers because
the varied textures make this interesting. Rs 165

Harissa Chicken Skewers: Marinated in African spice, these skewers make an excellent appetiser. It’s not spicy even though it might look it and the meat comes off the stick beautifully. Rs 175

Blueberry Yogurt Smoothie for that friend who’s always scanning the menu for something healthy. It’s filling, cool and both a dessert and a meal! Rs 150
