CASTLE: Season 6
Even as STAR World pushes the rewind button for Season 1, STAR World Premiere HD is busy airing Season 6 (Wednesday, 10pm). And boy, are things moving fast! So you definitely must know that Castle (Nathan Fillion) proposed to Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), you probably know that he almost died and you might not know that she was unemployed for a while, for the first time since she was 15! After a stint in DC, she’s back at the precinct permanently. That means Castle and Beckett won’t have to Skype any more. This also means they will be working together for the first time since their engagement. Sparks. Will. Fly. PS: Castle’s daughter Alexis has a new boyfriend and his mom is still as funny. #win

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: Season 9
It’s the final season. Ever since the season began [in the US from September 23, we have been catching it weekly on STAR World (Tuesday, 10pm], the time lag isn’t much thankfully], it’s been a build-up to Barney and Robin’s wedding weekend. Lily and Marshall are moving to Rome for a year. It is in this season that we will know how HE met the Mother. In fact, Lily has already met her so SHE is already revealed. Does she live up to the hype? Of course not! After a hyperactive imagination for eight seasons, it would have been a miracle if she had! Future Ted has had some scenes with her but we are yet to see how HE meets HER.

homeland: Season 3
By the final episode of Season 2, we had chewed all our fingernails off. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) is on the run after supposedly blowing up the CIA headquarters at Langley and killing hundreds. Season 3 on STAR World Premiere HD (Monday, 10pm) has begun with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) being fiercely grilled by the Senate Select Committee set up to investigate the attack. Saul (Mandy Patinkin) is now the head of the CIA. Brody’s suicidal daughter Dana is back from rehab and has been sending naked selfies to her boyfriend there. Carrie has random sex with a guy she meets at a store and Saul reveals to the Committee that Carrie slept with Brody and is bipolar. Carrie is forcefully admitted to a psychiatric facility as she and Saul turn from friends to enemies. Homeland just gets better. And better.

suits: Season 3
If you’ve watched the first two seasons you will know that there’s never a dull moment at Pearson-Darby. Devilishly handsome Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and street-smart Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) are back in Season 3 (Comedy Central, Monday to Thursday, 10pm). Even as they hop, skip and jump from one case to another, Mike pulls out all the stops to build back his bridges with Harvey, but Harvey keeps reminding him that they are “through”. Harvey gets busy with a high-profile client called Ava Hessington who has a past connect with Pearson-Darby. As ever, Suits is edge-of-the-seat and the blow-hot-blow-cool dynamics between Harvey and Mike is keeping us hooked.

2 BROKE GIRLS: Season 3
Talking of shows getting better brings us to the third season of 2 Broke Girls (STAR World, Tuesday, 10.30pm). Things sure are hotting up with Max and Caroline’s cupcake dream being reborn in the form of a cupcake window in one room of the diner. The jokes are sexier. And funnier. Han is as hilarious, short and sweet, still the butt of all jokes. Oleg the chef is as horny. Sophie the neighbour is still in Spanx, and super active sexually. Meet Luis, the new day waiter who is also the new gay waiter at the diner. Some things remain same. Like the mustard-red uniform of the girls, Caroline’s pearl necklace, Max’s red lipstick. These two broke girls are the coolest girls in Williamsburg. And on our telly.
