SHARAD KAPOOR RETURNS FOR A FILM WITH PARA BOY JEET Kushali Nag Who's Better Looking — Jeet Or Sharad? Tell T2@abpmail.com Published 04.11.09, 12:00 AM

New Alipore boy Sharad Kapoor is back in Tollywood five years after his last film Porinam to play an undercover cop in Ravi Kinnagi’s untitled film with best buddy Jeet.

“For me, the script, the producer, the director and how a film is being released matter the most. Everything fell into place with this film. It has got a rocking script! It’s got action and romance in good proportion and I am enjoying it!” says Sharad at Thanthania Lahabari where he is shooting with Jeet and Shrabanti.

SWEET SUCCESS: Shrabanti is tasting fame post-Dujone, the film co-starring Dev that has completed a 50-day run in town. School students thronged the Thanthania Lahabari gate on Saturday to shake hands and get her autograph. Shrabanti obliged with a smile while shooting Ravi Kinnagi’s film with Jeet.

The other reason behind taking up Kinnagi’s film is, of course, Jeet, with whom the Josh man bonds big time. “Jeet and I go back a long way... for the past 20 years. We are from the same locality and we are best friends. Jeet was yet to begin his career when I started out as an actor. He has always encouraged me. We keep in touch though I have shifted base to Mumbai. We always see each other on Diwali.... Jeet has become more confident as an actor. On the sets I pull his leg saying that I am better looking than him!” says Sharad.

Back in Bollywood, Sharad is busy with two films — David Dhawan’s Hook Ya Crook co-starring John Abraham and Abdul Razzak’s Rajen Naik. “I want to do more Bangla films but I don’t know how to organise things. I am so out of touch with Tollywood because though I have a home here I live in Mumbai most of the time,” he adds.
