Kareena Kapoor Khan’s cop breaks a leg at a nightclub to unwind after an exhausting day at work in the music video of Sada Pyaar Tut Gaya, the first track from Hansal Mehta’s upcoming crime thriller The Buckingham Murders, dropped by the makers on Thursday.

The one-minute-50-second-long video kicks off with a sequence of a visibly troubled Kareena driving at night and eventually landing at a bar with her friends to unwind. Scenes of Kareena investigating a murder are in stark contrast with her enjoying the nightlife for a much-needed distraction.

While Kareena grooves on the dance floor, she is haunted by the disturbing images of bodies, blood splashes and murder. Sung by Vicky Marley, Sada Pyaar Tut Gaya is composed by Bally Sagoo and penned by Devshi Khanduri.

The Buckingham Murders revolves around Kareena’s detective Jaspreet Bhamra who looks for a missing child from an Indian family.

“A grieving cop who loses her child to murder and moves to another town where she's tasked with investigating the disappearance of a missing child. Exploring themes of trauma, grief, the immigrant experience, and our need for closure,” reads the synopsis of the film on IMDb.

Also starring Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon and Assad Raja, The Buckingham Murders is slated to hit theatres on September 13. The film’s screenplay has been penned by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor and Raghav Raj Kakker.

Kareena, who was last seen in Rajesh A. Krishnan’s Crew alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon, makes her debut as a producer with the murder mystery. The actress is co-producing the film with Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banners of Balaji Telefilms, Mahana Films and TBM Films.

The Buckingham Murders had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival in October 2023.
