“Mithali did a lot of hand-holding for us, and not just the cricket part of it,” said Srijit, the director of Shabaash Mithu.

When asked about what she learnt about cricket, Taapsee, who plays Mithali in the biopic, said, “Batting and not to get out.”

“Batting was the only apprehension I had. But it looks good in the trailer and the movie,” said Mithali, on Taapsee playing her.
