Sushree Mishra, who shot for Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero but the role was later chopped off, is now matching steps with Meezaan Jaffrey in a song in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-produced Malaal.

“I am so excited, I went for auditions of the Aila re song and did not have an idea that I would be working under big names. Earlier Chitrangda Singh was to do the song but then I was told that I had bagged it. There was Bhansali Sir giving directions, and Ganesh Acharya choreographing the song and Meezaan practising. It was so surreal a dream… it was exciting and unnerving but the song went off fantastically well,” said Sushree.

About Zero, Sushree said: “It was a small role with Shah Rukh Khan. Though it was chopped off, I have not got over it still. I got to share screen space with Shah Rukh and under the direction of Aanand L. Rai. They were all so humble and it was a great experience as I was just starting out.”
