TRAILER: BAADSHAHO
Ajay Devgn and his band of “badasses” pack a punch in the trailer of Baadshaho. Directed by Milan The Dirty Picture Luthria, the 2:20 trailer of the heist film is defined by flying cars, daredevil chases through dusty Rajasthan and paisa vasool ’80s-style masala. Baadshaho also stars Emraan Hashmi (who Devgn co-starred with in the Luthria winner Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai), Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Sanjay Mishra. With a look and feel like Luthria’s Kachche Dhaage — that also starred Devgn and was set and shot in Rajasthan — the trailer of the September 1 film has 8,343,178 shots.

TRAILER: SIMRAN
Thought the teaser — with Kangana Ranaut doing a Chaplinesque act — was a lot of fun? Well, the trailer’s going to make you fall in love with the Bolly ‘Queen’ within the first few seconds of its 2:36 running time. Yes, Kangana shines in the role of Praful Patel — no, her name isn’t Simran. A hotel housekeeper who takes to a life of gambling and theft, Kangana makes Praful a livewire, a woman with faults and so real. Sample this conversation that takes place at the 1:27 mark between Praful and a prospective suitor. Praful: “Tum mujhe jaante kitna ho... mere mein koi character flaw ho toh.... Suitor: “Agar tumhare koi boyfriends thhe, mujhe uss baat se koi phark nahin parta”. Praful: “Boyfriend hona koi character flaw thodi hai. Ladke pataana toh talent hota hai.” Total loves for the trailer of the Hansal Mehta film: 3,212,906. And yes, can’t wait for September 15!

TRAILER: MOTHER
Seeing is believing... or is it? The unsettling trailer of Mother creeps up on you and is sure to leave you more than a little disturbed. Starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as a couple whose idyllic life changes when a pair of strangers — played by Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer — land up at their doorstep, the 2:12 trailer is defined by Darren Aronofsky’s ability to spook — bloodstains on the carpet to unexplained screaming emanating from the walls of the house — without showing much (remember his Black Swan?). Chalk this down as a must-watch when it releases on September 15. Till then, get creeped out by the trailer that already has 4,191,966 OMGs to its name.

SIBLING SAGA
In Rakhi week, the guys at ScoopWhoop have come up with a fun video called Bhai Behen Things that aptly sums up all that defines just about any brother-sister pair. From “Mom-Dad tujhe kachre ke dibbe se nikaal ke leke aaye thhe” to fighting over a plate of food. From the sister asking, “Kaisi lag rahi hoon main” and the brother replying, “Ekdum chudail!” From wrestling over the TV remote to almost killing each other for the last piece of chocolate. This is a 4:12 watch that’s both ha-ha and awwwww. Contribute to the 163,347 clicks... and watch it with your sibling.

MUMMY!
Noisy news channels, mind-numbing reality shows and the fear that hounds every kid — that uninvited and probing video call from the parents back home — come together in this hilarious 10:31 video scripted by the funnymen at All India Backc**d (AIB). The video opens with comics Tanmay Bhatt and Mallika Dua acting as news anchors, as they take the viewer into the home of a man called Vishal who wakes up one lazy Sunday morning to a video call from his “Mummy”. From a ‘Rapid Fire Round’ (“Kapde dhoye? Khana khaya?”) to carrying out the task of cleaning up the dirty bachelor pad before mom sees it on her video call, this clip has a we-too look and feel. 1,084,777 ha-has for this one.
