Harrison Ford is still the lovable rogue that audiences fell in love with in 1977 when he debuted his Han Solo character in original Star Wars trilogy.
A standalone film — Solo: A Star Wars Story — that features Alden Ehrenreich in the titular role is set for release on May 25. Ford couldn’t help but be every bit of the rogue that the character that gave him acclaim was.
During promotions for the film, Ehrenreich found his promotional interview interrupted by Ford as a fun surprise. “Get out of my chair, get out of my life!” Ford shouts, channelling his best cranky old man persona.
Ford has also given his seal of approval to the film: “I just thought it was spectacular, and I thought he was so smart about what he did and how he did it. I just couldn’t be happier.”
Ehrenreich said it was “awesome” to see Ford, and added: “It’s just such a huge deal to have him really genuinely enjoy the film.”
The movie also stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Paul Bettany.
