Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period film has given Bajirao and Mastani a chance to indulge in opulence for the promotions, and they are killing it. On this occasion, the flamboyant Ranveer Singh even went down on one knee to woo Deepika Padukone (see cover pic)! We’re lusting over: Those Sabyasachi-Christian Louboutin mojris Ranveer’s wearing.

PEACHES AND WINE: Co-ordinates in the form of sharara and tunic. Wow! The sequinned peach outfit is a perfect match for Deepika’s dewy complexion, and she has made this traditional outfit trendy with minimal accessories and barely-there make-up. Ranveer’s wine sherwani with panel work and off-white churidar is a man’s lookbook in elegance. We’re lusting over: DP’s chocolate- brown sheer dupatta. 

 

TREND-O-METER

GREY’S ANATOMY: Think a style turnaround, and Ranveer will be right there in front with his lady-love. We love DP’s flowy marsala floral skirt and shirt from Patine, cinched at the waist by a Topshop tan belt. Ranveer dresses 
sharp in a dotted suit and a blue-grey tie-and-dye shirt. What’s different? The on-trend white wedge sneakers that add a sporty touch to his look. We’re lusting over: The layered Ritika Sachdeva danglers on Deepika. 

OOPS! Polka pants and rose-print blazer with a sheer pink shirt underneath and a wide white belt — we really don’t know what to make of Deepika’s outfit! And that walking stick Ranveer’s carrying... what for?! We’re lusting over: Nothing. 

 

MAD HATTER’S FASH PARTY

He’s a no-holds-barred guy when it comes to style. Ranveer Singh is fearless and wacky, pushing the envelope sometimes a little too far. (L-R) He can team a suit with chappals; he can strut in a flared Rohit Bal short kurta like he was born in it and step out with some surma on the eyes; he can wear a super kitschy kurta-pyjama-jacket set that no Bolly hero will even dream of and jazz it up with Lennon shades; he can twirl in an Anju Modi skirt, teamed with a bandhgala, as easily as he twirls his gelled moustache.  

Psst: In a rare promo appearance, Kashibai aka Priyanka Chopra turned up looking fetching in a black net sari. The winner? The blouse with a sheer high-neck. 

 

DP IN SABYA #T2CRUSH

Sabyasachi’s understated bling and Deepika the woman are a match made in fashion heaven. (Right) The pulled back hair, coral mouth and gold-and-pearl Amrapali danglers accentuate the off-white sharara with Lucknow chikankari and zari work. And who said you can’t go desi and classy when out on the field? (Above) For an outdoorsy event, the sporty Deepi chose to play ball in a wispy mint-green half tulle, half chikankari sari that you’d only think of wearing to a heavy-duty indoor do.
