Actor Akshay Kumar shared the music video of Maar Udi, the first song from his upcoming film Sarfira, a remake of the 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, on Monday.

The one-minute-45-second song starts with Akshay getting thrown out of a science fair. Paresh Rawal's voice is heard in the background, saying, “This aviation business isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.” In a flashback scene from the song, Akshay is seen participating in a protest alongside a large gathering.

As the video progresses, Akshay’s character is portrayed diligently working towards achieving his goals. Throughout the music video, the actor’s character engages in running, fighting and traveling to pursue his aspirations. He demonstrates steadfast commitment while collaborating closely with his team.

G.V. Prakash Kumar, who scored music for Sarfira, said composing for the film had been a truly enriching experience. “Maar Udi is a track that captures the heart and soul of the movie — it's about rising above challenges and believing in oneself. We are excited for audiences to feel the energy and inspiration this song brings,” he added.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, Sarfira stars Akshay Kumar as Vir Jagannath Mhatre, a visionary from rural Maharashtra inspired by Captain Gopinath’s book Simply Fly (2011) as he went on to revolutionise Indian air travel. The film also features Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan and Seema Biswas in key roles.

Sarfira is slated to hit the theatres on July 12.
