The undead with a taste for human flesh and human brains can no longer be confined by genre; they have stepped out of horror and are walking into comedy, romance and drama, sometimes all at the same time. While we still get our spooks from shows like Walking Dead, films like 28 Days Later and books like World War Z, zombies, like vampires, are now becoming benevolent and desirable creatures (!).
