Ranveer Singh will bulk up, go bald and learn Marathi for his role of Maratha braveheart Bajirao in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.

Ranveer, who starred in Bhansali’s Ram-Leela last year along with Deepika Padukone, has reportedly signed up for Marathi classes and is all set to take horse riding lessons.

“Through this film we are trying to achieve something that hopefully will be a landmark in our cinema,” Ranveer has been quoted as saying. Deepika, who Ranveer is rumoured to be in a relationship with, plays Mastani.

Sleuth saga:

On Saturday, director Anurag Basu posted on Facebook what seems to be the poster of Jagga Jasoos, his new film that’s just gone on the floors.

Simply captioned “Demo of Jagga Jasoos”, the sepia-toned poster shows Ranbir Kapoor dressed as an old-world sleuth, standing next to a bicycle, with a guitar strung across his back. Also starring rumoured real-life girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Jagga Jasoos is described as a “comic detective film” and is also co-produced by Ranbir. The film, starring Govinda as Ranbir’s dad, releases in May 2015.
