No agony, only ecstasy at NRS Medical College

Aspiring doctors of NRS Medical College took a break from their books to put up and participate in DAMS Ecstasy 2015, their annual fest. Held in association with The Telegraph-You, it was a four-day jamboree of fun, competitions and madness. Around 1,400 students and interns turned up to take part or cheer their friends in various contests, ranging from arm wrestling to debate. The entertainment quotient of the fest was taken care of by star acts like Fossils and M-Sonic, Timir Biswas and Suraj Jagan. “People have a misconception about medical students, that we only study and do nothing else. But Ecstasy is a living, breathing, tangible proof that doctors can party real hard, and treat patients as well,” said Sanchari Pal, a fourth-year student of NRS and a member of the organising committee.

All hands up in the air for Bangla rock band Fossils, on the second night of the fest. Fossils performed crowd favourites like Bishakto manush and Hasnuhana.
