DEV

The day I got the offer from Shree Venkatesh Films to play the lead in I Love You. It was one of the biggest things to happen to me. For me my career is very important and the film became a big success and that made me very happy. I Love You happened at a time when my career had hit rock bottom with a dud called Agnishapath. That was a great setback for me. So when I bagged I Love You, it felt extra special!

JEET

The year 2002 was the most special and memorable year of my life. My debut film Saathi released and it turned out to be a huge hit! I was so happy and proud of myself. I tasted success for the first time after years of struggle to become an actor. It felt so good to see my dream come true! I can never forget that year.

KOEL MULLICK

I think my most special moment in life is yet to come! It would be the day I get married. And the next most special moment would be when I have a baby!

Swastika Mukherjee

The most special moment of my life is when my daughter Anwesha returns home from her boarding school in Bangalore for the summer holidays. So, through the year I wait for her to come back home. I go to the airport to pick her up and the moment I catch a glimpse of her I feel so happy! I can’t express it in words.

APARAJITA GHOSH DAS

Every time I have gone out of Calcutta for a vacation, it has been a memorable occasion for me. Going out on a holiday rejuvenates me like nothing else. I feel very inspired. It’s not that I feel good about the fact that I don’t have to work. It can even be a shoot somewhere outside Calcutta and that leaves me very happy. I am a great admirer of nature and I feel blessed when I am close to nature.

PAOLI

For me, it’s the release of Goutam Ghose’s Kalbela. I got a lot of appreciation for my character Madhabilata and for the first time the actress prefix was put before my name, which was a huge honour. I felt accepted by the people for the first time in my career. I always wanted to be appreciated as an actress.... The other very special moment was when I worked with Bumbada (Prosenjit) for the first time in Agnishapath and Hochchheta Ki?. Working with the number one star was a huge high for me!

SREELEKHA MITRA

I will never forget the moment when I first held my daughter Oishi after her birth. I had tears in my eyes. She was so pink and fair! I felt like God... I felt so proud that I could create life. The pain of nine long months was gone in a second. It’s the best moment of my life. Nothing can beat the feeling of being the mother of a child.

DEBLEENA dutt

My most memorable moment was when I saw my mother on TV for the first time! It was in ETV Bangla’s Rojgere Ginni. I was a well-known actress when I saw my mom on TV. I was so excited and for the first time I realised what she feels when she sees me on screen. Earlier, I could never understand why my mom would even watch the repeat telecast of my serials! But now I do. I have recorded my mother’s programme and I watch it often.

PARNO MITTRA

The trip I had made to the US a couple of months back is a very memorable one. It was my first trip abroad and that too with my own money! It was great. The moment I landed in the US, I shrieked with joy for at least 10 minutes! I really enjoyed myself. I went to Chicago, Las Vegas... it was great to see and experience the snowfall. I have never seen snowfall and it was beautiful.

JUNE

The birth of my kids has been very special to me. I can’t express in words how happy I was. Now both Shiven and Shivangini have grown up. They are taller than me! They just amaze me when I think that they were inside my womb. I still remember their smile, their tiny toes and their little hands. I think that moment is really special for any mother.

Bickram Ghosh

My son Tatin’s birth was very special to me. Both Jaya and I married late. Our friends’ kids are about 13 or 14 years old, while Tatin is just four. Since he happened late, it attuned me to child birth. I would record all the sounds he would make as a baby. I put them all into a track called The Birth of Innocence in my album Beyond Rhythmscape. It was my personal ode to immortality.

Abhishek Dutta

My first show at the Smirnoff International Fashion Award in Mumbai is very memorable. I was in the final year of college and the only one from eastern India. Lots of celebrities sat in the audience. Top models like Madhu Sapre and Ujjwala Raut were there. Mehr Jessia choreographed the show. I had two outfits and I won the award!

Agnimitra Paul

The birth of my son Vighnesh in 2002 is very special to me. He was born at 11.45am at Belle Vue. I had a Caesarean section and I remember the doctor telling me, “Chhele hoyechhe, chhele (you’ve had a boy)!” I was so happy. I had earlier dreamt that I had given birth to a baby boy with a trunk! I was so scared. My husband said that Lord Ganesha would be born in our home. So, we named our son Vighnesh.

Rupam

It was in 1986, when I received my first award — the Uttam Kumar Award for best child artiste — at age 12. It has been my only award till now! At the award ceremony, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of Tollywood stars. But the most memorable part was meeting Hemanta Mukhopadhyay. I touched his feet and he blessed me.
