“I am very fond of linen and love anything in linen. Come summer, you will find me only in linen. Linen Club’s variety IS a revelation. The collection is really nice. It is very comfortable.”

— Prosenjit

Linen is for life, moisture-absorbent and is considered 100 per cent more comfortable than cotton. It has so much medicinal value. Linen was born in Europe but Europeans never ventured into the colours we did. They were into white, cream, beige, brown. At Jaya Shree Textiles, we explored the taste of Indians… checks, stripes, reds, blues, yellows. We made linen a big fashion item. The biggest mental block is the crease and the crush. For Europeans if the linen doesn’t crush, it is a crime. It has its lustre. Our fabrics are available in 127 exclusive brand outlets in India. Apart from that, our fabric is available in multi-brand outlets, in more than 4,000 stores. We also supply fabrics to all ready-made garment manufacturers… 15 national brands, and another 20-30 regional brands. All major brands buy linen from us. Next year, we are targeting to open another 40 stores.

Good to go, we said! “This summer jacket was perfect with his jogger’s pants. The athleisure look is also what is in during spring-summer. Perfect Saturday dressing too,” said fashion designer Abhishek Dutta, who helped Prosenjit zero in on the looks.
