In this season of celebrity weddings, Parched beauty Surveen Chawla has revealed she had tied the knot two years ago. Her beau? Entrepreneur Akshay Takkar.

The actress, last seen in films like Hate Story 2 and Parched, has been tweeting pictures recently of her fairytale wedding. The first, she captioned: “And just like that, right in the middle of an extra-ordinary life, love gave us a fairy tale.. .??#Married #bliss #EternalLove #GiveUsYourLove&Blessings. Reportage Photography : @dsvisuals.”
In another romantic snap, she wrote: “One half of me is yours, the other half yours, Mine own,I would say;but if mine, then yours, And so all yours.” -(The Merchant of Venice) Shakespeare Lots of (love) Surveen & Akshay. #Happilymarried?? #Love #Bliss.”

The actress kept her marriage under wraps for two years but, in a happy space professionally and personally, decided it was time to reveal it all. The couple exchanged their vows in Italy.  It’s learnt that Surveen met Akshay through a common friend in 2013 and soon fell in love. They got married with only family and a handful of friends in attendance. It was Surveen’s dream to have a white wedding in a chapel located in a picturesque castle and Italy seemed like an apt choice.

From clothes to the décor, invites to the destination wedding, Surveen personally planned and designed everything according to their taste. The actress said: “I handpicked and curated everything myself. In fact, I wanted everything to have a personal touch as it was an extremely personal affair and I was hands-on everything. While working and honouring work commitments, I was also getting things arranged simultaneously.” They chose Castel Brando in the Veneto region of northern Italy. “It had a chapel inside which was a rare find and it felt as though it was almost tailormade for us. We had the entire castle to ourselves for the span of the wedding,” she said.
