Kay Kay Menon is tired of being cast in a supporting role. The actor, who made a name with his roles in Life In A Metro, Bheja Fry, Rahasya, Ankur Arora Murder Case and Haider, said he no longer wanted to do smaller stuff.

“I have stopped doing smaller stuff as I feel I am over qualified. I am  looking forward to roles like the ones I play in Vodka Diaries and San’ 75 (Pachattar),” he said. “I am yet to tap into my potential and it will go on as long as I exist.

“I am capable of more and it’s my responsibility. I have to do more roles and explore myself as an artiste. I don’t think that an actor ever feels satisfied with his work,” he added.

The Black Friday star said he couldn’t categorise the roles he wanted to play: “I play human roles. Every human being has a sense of humour, tragedy, fear and anger. It’s possible that most serious characters might  have some humour in it. I have been seriously funny. I have done films in romantic the space in Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and Sankat City. Perhaps it didn’t get a good release, it all depends on destiny.”

Menon, who had shunned social media for a long time, has suddenly decided to go social. “I have joined Facebook, Instagram  and Twitter. I now realise that the comments come from a good space and they augur well.

I will use it responsibly. I don’t want to start hurting people...”
