Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani-starrer SatyaPrem Ki Katha witnessed a drop in collections on Thursday, raking in Rs 3.15 crore nett on its Day 8 in Indian theatres, as per trade records.
According to Box Office India, the Sameer Vidwans-directed romantic drama has earned Rs 53.36 crore nett in India so far.
SatyaPrem Ki Katha had a decent opening on June 29, minting Rs 9.25 crore nett on the day of its release. Despite a marginal slump in collections on its first Friday (Rs 7 crore nett), it went on to earn in double digits over the weekend, adding Rs 10.10 crore nett to its collection on Saturday, followed by Rs 12.15 crore nett on Sunday.
The film earned Rs 4.21 crore nett on its first Monday, Rs 4.05 crore nett on its first Tuesday and Rs 3.45 crore on its first Wednesday. The romantic musical joined the Rs 50-crore club at the box office on its seventh day of release.
SatyaPrem Ki Katha revolves around Satyaprem aka Sattu (Kartik) who is in love with Katha (Kiara). The film also features Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak and Shikha Talsania in supporting roles.
