Now my main concern is to fight. I didn’t lodge a complaint immediately because the Colors team had tied me up with interviews for two days after coming out of the house. I was under contract. As soon as I got free, I complained to the police. I had a lot of faith in the Indian judicial system, but I am surprised. Despite the fact that the police have video footage (of Armaan “manhandling” Sofia), how did he get bail? It’s very shocking and disappointing. However, I did get some sort of justice by getting Armaan arrested. I will continue to fight.

Did anyone from Armaan’s side try to settle the matter?

I am not interested in money to shut me up. I am not scared or threatened by anybody.

Viewers weren’t shown footage of Armaan hitting you. What actually happened?

Armaan hit me on the face with a stick during a task. There was no provocation from my side.

It’s been reported that Armaan’s father Rajkumar Kohli has filed a defamation case against you...

I haven’t received any such case. How can his father say that I have given a bad name to his son? Armaan has done that for himself. I am getting a lot of support. I am trending on Twitter.

But Armaan also has a lot of support. Actor Arshad Warsi has tweeted that you are doing all this to tarnish Armaan’s image.

Armaan never had an image. How can I defame him?

Any grudges against the Bigg Boss crew for not supporting you?

When I had entered the Bigg Boss house, I was told that there won’t be any violence or personal attacks. When Armaan hit me, I thought someone would take a step but that didn’t happen.

Given what’s happened, will you perform at the Bigg Boss finale on Saturday?

Although it’s there in my contract, the channel (Colors) has violated the contract. So I won’t perform or be present at the finale. If I go back singing and dancing and looking beautiful, what am I going to say to the women who are supporting me? People will say that I am a star and I have forgotten that a man hit me on the face!

On a different note, why did your relationship with cricketer Rohit Sharma come to an end?

I did date Rohit for about four to five months. Something appeared in the media about our relationship. He checked with me whether I had said anything and I said ‘no’. The next thing I read in the newspapers was that he had said that I was just a fan. After that, I told him I am not interested in anybody who can’t tell the truth.

Armaan’s version

The entire issue has been blown out of proportion. Bigg Boss is based on an international format where we can’t touch or hit each other. If I was close to hitting Sofia, do you think the Bigg Boss makers would call me back to the show? It’s impossible (to manhandle anyone)... there are so many cameras. I want Sofia to be happy. God bless her! I don’t know what her motive is. My family is hurt.
