My favourite outfit: A short white dress. I normally never sport short dresses, but there is this one short white dress in my wardrobe that I really like.

My favourite outfit for an evening out: A tunic top with a pair of skinny jeans or maybe a skirt with a nice top. I always decide at the last minute.

My favourite outfit for a formal occasion: Either a gown or a sari. I love chiffon and crepe saris.

I like to sleep in: A night gown.

My favourite designers: Right now, I am working with Surily (Goel) and Ashley Rebello. I have worked with Reza, Rocky S and Neeta Lulla too. I like experimenting as each one of them has their own style and you end up looking more versatile.

The brands I patronise: Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Mango, Morgan.

My favourite colours: Bright is beautiful. Red, orange, pink, emerald green, turquoise blue — I think all colours compliment me.

I have a fetish for: Perfumes and watches. In watches, my favourite is Cartier; I have a Tag Heuer too. Now I am endorsing Police so I can’t wear anything else. Police is a trendy, exciting and young brand. In perfumes I like Romance by Ralph Lauren, Estee Lauder and Gabbana.

My wardrobe is incomplete without: A good fitting pair of jeans and boots. There are lots of essentials. One needs belts, shoes and bags in all basic colours. You need a gold belt, silver belt, a white belt too. In fact, with a white pair of shoes, you need a matching white bag and white belt. If you are wearing a black pair of shoes you need a black bag and black belt and so on.

I look best in: A sari and short dresses as I am tall.

I like my man to be dressed in: A formal suit; occasionally in a tuxedo.

The best-dressed Bollywood stars are: Salman, Shah Rukh, Karisma. And I like the way Simi (Garewal) dresses. She looks very classy in white.

I don’t leave my house without: My prayer book, my mobile and a bottle of water.

My wallet always has: Credit cards, a little cash and my grandfather’s picture. I have a Feng Shui money card in my wallet.

I collect: Shoes. I have 60 pairs of shoes.

My fashion tip: Please be simple, and learn what looks good on you and then clothe yourself accordingly.

I like hair to be streaked in: Ash blond, green ash, brown green — which is less green and more of brown.

At home I like my hair to be tied in: A French roll with a clip.

My hairstyle for formal functions: I like to leave my hair loose.

My hair care routine: I oil my hair twice a week and shampoo it thereafter; I have lots of shampoo options.

My make-up preference when I am not shooting: A dab of compact and a touch of gloss.

My favourite shades in make-up: I like a few from Mac. And a blush and a lip gloss called Chive.

My favourite brands in make-up are: Mac, Make-up Forever, Synergy Christian Dior; for professional make-up I think I prefer Mac, Make-Up Forever, Bobby Brown. Bobby Brown has some amazing face powders.

My make-up tip: Less is more in Mumbai, especially given the humidity. It’s always good to wear minimum make-up. A healthy glow on your skin is better than a made-up face.
