What happened to Tony Soprano (played by James Gandolfini)? In the finale of the popular TV show Sopranos, Tony’s family gathered in a diner while Don’t Stop Believin’ played in the background. The final shot is of Tony’s face and then comes a cut to black. The show’s creator David Chase told the Vox: “No he isn’t” to the question whether Tony dies at the end. But then David denied it all in a press statement, which reads: “The final scene of Sopranos raises a spiritual question that has no right or wrong answer.”
