Stranger Things stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo sent Indian fans into a frenzy with a new promotional video showing the two actors exploring a number of classic Indian household items.

In the video shared by Netflix, Wolfhard and Matarazzo, who play the roles of Mike and Dustin in the hit show, are introduced to household items such as a Hawkins pressure cooker, a steel tiffin carrier, a rolling pin, a broomstick and a rubber slipper.

What started as a discovery of the everyday items used by Indians soon turned into a creative session about how they can be used to defeat Vecna.

The actors joke about “whacking Vecna” with the rubber slippers, the steel tiffin being used to store both food and grenades, and the rolling pin tripping Vecna and flattening his body. It ends with the actors mounting on the broomsticks and attempting to take flight with it — as seen in the Harry Potter franchise.

The use of the Hawkins pressure cooker has particularly appealed to fans. “Hawkins was a genius move,” one of them wrote. “Hawkins City❌ Hawkins Seeti✅,” another fan commented.

“Chappal is going to work for sure bwahahaha,” a Stranger Things fan commented. Another desi fan said that the chappal can be perfect weapons for the moms Joyce Byers and Karen Wheeler.

The highly-anticipated second volume of Stranger Things Season 5 dropped on Netflix on 26 December in India. The finale episode will premiere on 1 January.
