One stage. Four stalwarts. Ghulam Ali, Pankaj Udhas, Bhupinder and Mitali Singh. The occasion? An evening dedicated to ghazal.
Shaam E Ghazal, produced and managed by Heartbeatz Communications in association with t2, promises to unleash the power of four and gift Calcutta an unforgettable soiree at Nicco Park on February 16. With their lilting melodies and heart-warming lyrics, the four ghazal exponents will make sure love remains in the air even after Valentine’s Day.
The concert begins with Bhupinder and Mitali Singh at 4pm. The husband-wife duo are sure to win us over with some of their fabulous duets like Chandni raat, Ek haseen shaam and Aksar. And of course Bhupinder’s Bolly numbers like Dil dhoondta hai and Ek akela is shahar mein.
Following them will be Pankaj Udhas with his vast repertoire of film songs and albums to pick and choose from. Will he sing Chitthi aai hai? Wait and watch.
Maestro Ghulam Ali is the icing on the cake. Though his set list is under wraps, one can definitely hope for gems like Chupke chupke raat din and Hungama hai kyon barpa.
“This is the first time these big names from the ghazal world will appear on one stage in Calcutta,” said Ranjan Dutta of Heartbeatz Communications.
