and so is a groupfie.

Have you been contemplating running the marathon, or even the half-marathon, but couldn’t summon the courage because you haven’t trained? Did you think you’d be outrun by all the 20-somethings? Or that there would be people with physical ailments in the same category?
Run for Fitness, presented by The Calcutta Swimming Club and partnered by t2 earlier in February, shattered many a preconceived notion about running. The young and the young-at-heart, some of them with physical impairment, hit the street to run a sizeable distance. Five hundred and fifty club members and their guests lined up for the 5km and 10km run.
“We’ve been hosting the 5km run for five years but we decided to go as far as the 10km run this time. We didn’t expect such a turnout...it was great. I’m glad our city is becoming more health-conscious and that we are spreading the awareness,” said CSC president Binod Kankaria (above).

Fashion walk:

Ordnance Club members were in for a fun night on February 27 at Scissors on Cloth presented by the Hastings Club, in association with t2. Labels like Serenity, Elan, Fashion Nd Fuzion and Mohua’s displayed their creations at the exhibition and then with a fashion show. Dance troupe Arshraf’s Performing Art kept the audience happy between the show sequences. “Scissors on Cloth was appreciated by the crowd. The ladies loved the collection of clothes and shopped a lot. The dance performances kept all entertained,” said Col. Adil Imran, president, Ordnance Club. Picture: Rashbehari Das
Music & lyrics: On a picnic, a girls’ night-in or a long drive, if there’s one thing that’s been the game to play by popular choice, it’s Antakshari. Which explains why Musicana 2016, presented by The Calcutta Swimming Club in association with t2, turned out to be such a hoot. “We made sure every team had at least one good singer. This also ensured that members made new friends,” said Rajat Baid, who moderated the Antakshari. The event had 36 CSC members divided into 12 teams of three.
