Esha and Bharat, who had tied the knot on June 29, 2012, welcomed their first daughter, Radhya, in October 2017. Their second daughter, Miraya, was born in June 2019.

In June last year, the Dhoom actress shared a picture with Bharat on their 11th wedding anniversary.

“For keeps for eternity,” read the caption of Esha’s Instagram post.

However, speculations about the actress’s separation from Bharat were rife after the latter was absent from various Deol family celebrations, including Hema Malini's 75th birthday bash and Esha's own birthday festivities.

In her book on parenting, Amma Mia: Stories, advice and recipes from one mother to another (2020), Esha admitted her frequent inability to give her marriage adequate time because of her professional commitments. She also emphasised the importance of nurturing a bond and spending quality time together.

Daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha made her Bollywood debut with Vinay Shukla’s 2002 romantic thriller Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. In the movie, the 42-year-old actress starred opposite Aftab Shivdasani.

Since then Esha has appeared in a number of films including Dhoom (2004), No Entry (2005) and Darling (2007). She has also been a part of several streaming series including Disney+ Hotstar’s psychological drama Rudra: The Edge of Darkness (2022) and Amazon Mini TV’s crime thriller Hunter: Tootega Nahi Todega (2023).
