What are the ingredients for a great romantic evening? Candles? Check. Flowers? Check. Wine? Check. Sumptuous food? Double check. Beat the winter blues in style and luxury by treating your significant other to a night they’ll never forget at The Oberoi Grand, by the pool. “Dinner at the poolside is all about the experience. We try to make the night as special for our patrons as possible. The best thing about the poolside is the peaceful ambience right in the heart of the city,” said Saurav Banerjee, executive chef, The Oberoi Grand.
Settle down with a steaming bowl of Chicken Consomme to keep the chill at bay, or catch up with a friend over Chicken Breast filled with apricot and cream cheese. Want something lighter? The Smoked Beetroot and Orange Salad with arugula and fresh mint is an ideal choice. But if you want something to make your evening even more special, just ask. The team at The Oberoi Grand can customise the menu, cook you your favourite dish and even add a personal touch according to your wishes. All they ask in return is a heads up in advance.
“On a cold evening, we sometimes provide our diners with a small angithi to keep themselves warm or chocolates for the lady. These personal touches show that we care. The privacy of the diners is of utmost importance to us. We never rush them through their meals. Many couples have utilised the ambience to even propose to their significant other,” said the chef.
But don’t think that the poolside is a place only reserved for couples. Many families also opt for the serene setting.
A five-course meal for two will cost Rs 5,000-plus. Prior reservations are necessary.
