From long addas at the Green Benches to their first romance, 1,200 Xaverians dressed in their best red-and-black — the dress code for Sangam, the annual reunion dinner of St. Xavier’s College Calcutta Alumni Association (SXCCAA), in association with The Telegraph — shared stories from their college days. But of course, the theme was “Once upon a time in Xavier’s”.
The evening of December 27 began with Father Felix Raj, principal of St. Xavier’s College, narrating a classic college tale. “Once upon a time... there was a student in St. Xavier’s who thought everything that Xavier’s taught was unreal. His attendance in classes was zero but in the canteen and Green Benches it was 100%. He was not the only one, there were many. But he was the only one who was caught by the vice-principal…,” Cue for cheers and hoots from the gathered Xaverians.
Xaverians Christopher Lobo and DJ Harish got the happy feet dancing while biryani, pasta, mihidana, kulfi.... kept the
foodies happy.
Little Satchit, son of Xaverian Navneet Tulsyan, and younger cousin, Krishiv, son of Xaverian Rajesh Mahipal, sent the cute quotient soaring in their red-and-black outfits.

The college wore a festive look with a Christmas tree and Santa Claus (top). The specially created passage leading to the college ground was a collage of pictures from various college events.
