STAR Plus is all set to launch a big-ticket show called Aarambh. It is written by K.V. Vijayendra Prasad, the man who wrote the Bahubali films and the father of director S.S. Rajamouli. Aarambh is a period drama that sees the clash between the Aryan and Dravidian clans. Leading the charge for the Dravidians is their spunky queen Devasena (yes, Anushka Shetty’s character in Bahubali was also called Devasena), that will be played by Karthika Nair. Also starring Tanuja as the protector of the Dravidian throne and Rajniesh Duggall as a brave Aryan warrior, Aarambh is being described as a desi Game of Thrones. But in style and spirit it seems to be an extension of the Bahubali universe.

The “untold stories of Bahubali” will come alive in Bahubali: The Lost Legends, an animated version of the superhit franchise, set to hit Colors soon. Initially released on Amazon Prime, the series has been created by Bahubali maker Rajamouli and will focus on the adventures of the warrior king in his kingdom of Mahishmathi.

Rs 16,33,00,00,000
That’s Rs 1,633 crore, the amount that Bahubali: The Conclusion has earned worldwide so far.
