November marks the arrival of the nuptial season and making the best use of this opportunity, Kalim Group has opened Maple Court, an air-conditioned banquet and convention centre on the fifth level of Regency building, 6 Hungerford Street (opposite Birla High School).

Done up in sober colours and furniture, the banquet aims to marry class with comfort. Illuminated by soft lights, the sprawling banquet will cater to both corporate and social events like weddings, birthday parties, engagements and so on. Spread over 12,000sq ft, which includes a spacious hall and a terrace garden, it can accommodate around 700 people.

“Banqueting is coming up in a big way and I always wanted to open a banquet as there’s no good banquet with an aerial view of the city,” said Nirmal Saraf, director, who has been in the F&B business for over four decades.

The project is a brainchild of Nirmal Saraf, Sital Saraf and Azad Tanveer Kalim. Catering can be customised and the menu covers global cuisine, including Chinese, Mexican and Korean, besides Indian.

Maple Court was unveiled by Tollywood ladies Koneenica Banerjee and Ridhima Ghosh. “The terrace garden is superb and with the arrival of winter I feel it will be the right place to party! I also liked the decor of the hall, which is simple yet sophisticated,” smiled Koneenica.

The entire banquet can be booked for Rs 1.75 lakh, while the hall alone comes with a tag of Rs 1.25 lakh. Catering charges for veg and non-veg food are Rs 750 and 850 (plus taxes), per head.
