Youth body brought back to city

Patna, Dec. 24: The body of 22-year-old Piyush, who was murdered in Bangalore, was brought to the city today with the last rites likely to be conducted in the capital.

The youth, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore, was stabbed to death allegedly by one of his friends, Gautam, a resident of Jharkhand.

Piyush’s parents, Awdhesh Kumar and mother Abha Devi, live in Deoghar, Jharkhand. Awdhesh works with the minor irrigation department.

“The house of Piyush’s grandmother is on Guru Sahay Lane at Magistrate Colony in Patna. The news about his death first reached his uncle, who lives in Patna. He con-veyed the news to the youth’s parents. Awadhesh and Abha rushed to Patna last evening,” a relative of Piyush said. Police said Piyush’s body was packed in a suitcase that was kept in his rented room in the Hunasemaranahali area under Yelahanka police station in Bangalore.
