Some doubts in a mathematics book for Class XI students led Arnav Ramkrishnan to severe brainstorming last year.

Arnav, 17, was then a student of Class X. By the time Arnav, a student of DPS Patna, was promoted to Class XI, there were many more doubts, which kept troubling him.

One fine morning, he came up with a few things, which helped him understand the problems. “It was then that I decided to come up with a paper. On the other hand, it was veteran H.C. Verma, who on a question of mine, asked me to write a book. I researched on other doubts too for more than a year and now I am about to come up with the book which will be complete in November.” The title of the book itself says a lot — Maths from Scratch — and it carries the explanations and rigorous mathematical proofs to more than 550 theorems.
