My Take

Life is

unpredictable

When I thought it was right,

I started feeling

uncomfortable,

I wanted to fight

But all I found

Were my silent tears.

No one was there to listen to the sound,

I was trapped in my own fears.

Like morning rays:

You woke me from

nightmares,

I can see now my coming good days,

You hold me now with all care,

You are the sun,

The brightness of my life.

I was in a cage,

Crying my eyes out

I was suffocated

And wanted to shout.

Suddenly, I saw a beam of light,

It came from an unseen door,

Someone held out his arms

And said: “I am your morning ray,

I will protect you from all harm.”

I felt the cage open,

The dismissal of frustration.

Someone had drained all my smiles,

I now wanted confirmation.

I said: “Life has given me pain,

I am afraid of the dark now;

Sadness has become now my life’s chain

Can I really get one more chance to live?”

The charming ray said

to me:

“Life is unpredictable

There is always dawn after dusk...”

I felt everything will be good again,

I saw my nighmares run away,
