My Take
My Dad Is My God
A life came into existence
Bound in your fence,
Trepidation to be a dad,
But you were glad.
You brought me up with a tender touch,
When I tread the wrong path, you held out a crutch.
When your brows are up and your eyes stare.
Fear overpowers me but it is very rare.
My God disguised as Dad,
I promise you, I’ll always abide by your rules.
As your Princess I wear
a crown,
You never let me frown.
When I was in the blue
You opened the door
To show me the view.
When mom scolds me,
you embrace,
I feel the love in
your chest.
I’ve shared with
you secrets,
This I’ll never regret.
You toiled day and night for my growth
Hope I live up to your
expectation
Forgive me my
weaknesses. I can’t deny,
Dad, when I’m with you I reach the sky!
