Comes naturally to 17-year-old Aishwarya. She also writes short stories.
Her journey began…
In 2008 when Aishwarya was a Class VIII student. She had written a poem for her father titled “Silent Supporter”. When she showed the poem to him, he encouraged her to write more. He asked her to express herself through poems. After a few days, she came up with a poem for her best friend.

Of Aishwarya have been published so far. Her anthology, Memoirs of a Former Self, was published in 2011 and formally released this year.
Her work…
Got space in Collage, a magazine, this year. It was the first issue of the magazine’s spring edition. The poem was titled The Lost Room, which described how the loss of one person reflected in the room.
Biggest support…
For Aishwarya are her parents Pranav and Sumita Sahi (both documentary filmmakers). She also counts friends Neha Chauhan and Priya Thomas as part of her support system.
Multi-talented…
Aishwarya is good at singing and is a part of the school choir. She has learnt classical singing. She is also the editor of the school magazine, J-ways.
Achievements…
Include participation in the Macmillan English Aptitude Test in 2012, in which she emerged the state topper. She also reached the regional-level of the inter-school essay competition (English) held at St Paul’s High School this year.
Nurtures…
Dreams of pursuing higher studies at Oxford University. She also hopes to continue writing poems and short stories.
