Patna, Feb. 13: In a late evening reshuffle in the state bureaucracy, the state government today gave education department principal secretary Anjani Kumar Singh the additional charge of art and culture department. C. Lalsota, posted in the art and culture department, was named Saran commissioner.
S.K. Negi, who was holding the post of principal secretary of the co-operative department, was transferred to the post of commissioner of Tirhut division. He would replace S.M. Raju, who has been posted as commissioner of Munger division.
Rajat Punhani, the secretary of the commercial taxes department, was given the charge of the co-operative department. The commercial taxes department got a new boss with Sudhir Kumar given the charge of the department. He was waiting for posting.
Director of industries department Vimlanand Jha has been made the Kosi commissioner. He would replace GRK Rao, who has been posted as an additional member in the state revenue board.
Environment and forests department secretary Dipak Kumar Singh has been given the additional charge of managing director of Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority. The state government also promoted several IAS officers. S. Shiv Kumar, the secretary of the education department, and Sudhir Kumar, the secretary of the building construction department, are two such officers.
Inspector-general (prisons) Anand Kishore, too, was promoted and was given additional charge of director-general (prosecution).
