Trained at Bihar School of Yoga and the Mysore School of Yoga, UAE-based Ivan Stanley is gearing up to perform the world's longest Shirshasana (headstand) to mark the first International Day of Yoga on June 21.

Trained at Bihar School of Yoga and the Mysore School of Yoga, UAE-based Ivan Stanley is gearing up to perform the world's longest Shirshasana (headstand) to mark the first International Day of Yoga on June 21.

He plans to perform the asana for 60-minutes, breaking his previous record of 34 minutes. Organisers of the International Day of Yoga in UAE claimed to be in touch with Guinness Records - global and Dubai offices.

Stanley, with more than 15 years' experience, is certified in Iyengar Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa flow, reports PTI. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and Malayalam.

Stanley is an advertising creative director (copywriter) by profession.
