A premier banking centre of State Bank of India (SBI) was inaugurated on Friday.

The new centre, the second of its kind in the state after Patna, aims to render services to the premier customers of the bank. General manager (North Wing-1) of SBI, N.R. Parmar, inaugurated the centre. He said the bank had taken special measures to strengthen customer care services and arrange proper system.

Parmar said: “We have enlisted customers who have deposited more than Rs 20 lakh with the bank as our premier customers. These customers will now be treated under the premier banking centre.”

Two bank officials, Ashok Kumar Singh and Nagma Nija, have been assigned to look after the customers of the premier banking centre.

“If required, we would give them doorstep facilities. For instance, if premier banking centre customers want to withdraw or deposit cash, they don’t need to visit the branch. We shall send our employees to the house of the customer to do the needful,” Parmar said.

The bank would also provide many free services like availing of locker facility.
