East Champaran district magistrate Abhijit Sinha has ordered to withhold salary of two block-level officers for alleged laxity in procuring wheat.

Block agriculture officer of Adapur Rambabu Sah and the block co-operative officer of Kesariya, Ram Ekbal Mahto, were found guilty of depriving farmers in their respective areas.

“The decision was taken in a meeting on Monday to review the performance of the officers of departments responsible for wheat procurement,” officer on special duty Anurag Kaushal Singh said.
