Patna: To support RJD chief Lalu Prasad, convicted and now imprisoned in Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail, the RJD has decided to launch Nyay Rath Yatra across the state.
The RJD on Wednesday claimed that the party chief has been implicated in the fodder scam case and they will go to the people's court, which is the biggest court in country.
The date for Nyay Rath Yatra has not yet been announced. On January 6, the RJD has called the meeting at Rabri Devi's official residence under the leadership of the Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav at 11am.
This would be the first major meeting in which all MLAs, former MLAs, MPs, former MPs, MLCs, former MLCs, district heads, block heads, spokespersons, state-level and national-level leaders will be present.
"After the January 6 meeting, we will announce the date as we need to discuss many things before launching the Nyay Rath Yatra across Bihar. We will raise the issue over how our leaders have been implicated in the fodder scam case," said RJD national vice-president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh while interacting with the media in the party office.
The former parliamentarian and Union minister Raghuvansh raised questions on how deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi and other BJP leaders knew that Lalu would be sent to jail.
"I am collecting newspaper clippings in which Sushil Modi and many BJP leaders had commented that Lalu ji would soon be sent to jail. The BJP leaders had also held several news conferences over the assets of Lalu Prasad and accordingly, the central investigative agencies the cases were filed.
