The standing committee of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday decided that the civic body would carry out the solid waste management work in the city.

Shashank Shekhar Sinha, the additional municipal commissioner of the PMC, said: “Revising its earlier decision of getting the solid waste management work done by Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCo), the urban development and housing department decided to handover the work back to the PMC. The members deliberated possible ways to make progress in the project.”
